A leading pro-democracy organization called on residents to take to the streets again this weekend, in the wake of clashes that have put the government on the defensive.

Panel: “The Impact of Ervaringskennis on the Integration of Refugee Women”

In order to contribute to reducing inequality in Amsterdam, The Kenniscentrum Ongelijkheid (KCO), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, together with Road of Hope Foundation, were put in contact to join forces and start a co-creative project research.

The question at the start of this research was how experiential knowledge can be used more broadly and can have an impact on promoting the integration of refugee women.

The results of this work will be discussed among specialists and representatives of the involved organizations in June (20), at the Panel: “The Impact of Ervaringskennis on the Integration of Refugee Women”. The panel will be open to the whole community in New West Amsterdam and it will display the main contributions of the research on how experiential knowledge is used in our emotional support project, Breath of Hope, for promoting the integration of women with refugee backgrounds.

Among the panellists, we will have Prof. Dr. Saskia Keuzenkamp, the director of KCO Louise Elffers, the director of Road of Hope Patricia Barendregt, and Berta Ordekian, as practitioner. The experienced  Neighborhood coordinator for New West at Kenninscentrum Tarik Ouaziz will be the mediator of this panel.

If you want to be aware of the situation of Refugee Women in the Netherlands and the role of Ervaringskennis in their Integration process, we invite you to come and participate!
