As part of our Labour Market Integration project and cooperative Samen aan de Slag, Road of Hope led a special workshop focusing on Accountancy and Finances on 5th July. The workshop acknowledged that these topics are much more difficult to learn individually, especially when in a new country, and responded to the need from participants who wish to pursue a career in the field. “My problem is that I can easily find volunteer work or internships in other sectors, but not in my own field of interest. I also find it difficult to build a network. I want practical training or practice with this”, said one of the participants.
in order to build upon the skills learnt in the first session, Road of Hope will hold another session of this workshop on 26th July. “So many possibilities opened up after this workshop, soon we will see them flourishing and achieving their dreams of working in these areas”, says Patrícia Barendregt, the co-founder of Road of Hope.
