Breath of Hope Project is growing together with its community

Our project for supporting refugee women with emotional care and social empowerment has started a new circle this March. Our first group of women has its weekly gathering happening at Emancipatiecentrum Vrouw en Vaart, and it has an amazing participation of ladies from Eritrea, Ghana and Haiti.

Supported by the City of Amsterdam since 2020, Breath of Hope provides activities and opportunities for refugee women to reach the level of self-awareness, assertiveness, autonomy, and resilience that will allow them to take back control of their own lives.

For this new cycle, the coordination of Breath of Hope expects to open up four other groups from different nationalities in different places of New-West Amsterdam. Besides that, Breath of Hope may expand its action to reach also the male community of newcomers. What a great restart!
