Celebrating Community and Togetherness at Slotervaart Neighborhood Festival

Slotervaart Buurt Fest

At Road of Hope, we’re committed to not only providing essential support but also actively participating in our vibrant community. The recent Slotervaart Neighborhood Festival, which took place on September 23rd (Neighbors Day) and 24th, was a testament to our dedication to making New West Amsterdam an even better place to live.

The Slotervaart Neighborhood Festival is a true celebration of community spirit. It’s a festival organised by and for residents, named ‘Slotervaart Maken We Samen’ (We Create Slotervaart Together). This two-day featured a multitude of activities opened to different age groups, including workshops, discussions, market stalls, and musical performances. For Road of Hope, it provided an opportunity to engage with the neighbours, have great conversations, and even offer some special items for sale.

The Slotervaart Neighborhood Festival was a resounding success, bringing the New West Amsterdam community closer together and creating a platform for residents to connect, share, and celebrate. For Road of Hope, it was an opportunity to engage with the neighbours, promote the values of togetherness, and work towards making our community an even better place to be. We look forward to more such events that strengthen the bonds of our community.
