Project Ondernemerschap was set up by Road of Hope to support entrepreneurial newcomers in Amsterdam who are in the start-up phase of their business and have the ambition to develop, expand and formalise their small business and may be facing difficulties.
Additionally, the project also aims to provide opportunities for exchange with other (future) entrepreneurs and close contact with experts from the business sector, thus building a local network.

Project Ondernemerschap Main Activities
The project has two cycles of six months with 16 theoretical classes that will be taught by experienced entrepreneurs. Following this, the participants will receive a mentor that will guide them during six weeks. During the project, we organise networking meetings.
Weekly Sessions
Training
Individual Mentoring
Weekly Sessions are 3h/weekly classes taught by experienced entrepreneurs. In total, the students have the opportunity to build knowledge in 16 sessions addressing different topics such as Business Model Canvas, Lean Startup, Productivity, Planning, Finding customers, Legal Requirements, VAT, KVK, and Establishment requirements.
Training in the form of workshops and courses on diverse subjects is adapted to the groups’ needs. The main pre-established topics are:
Revision of the business plan
Finances and feeds
Laws and regulations
Chamber of Commerce registration
Marketing
Individual Mentoring will provide appropriate guidance for all participants. Mentoring allows for a more personalized approach to the project, and it allows us to closely monitor the individual challenges that new entrepreneurs face daily and enable exchanges with experienced professionals.
Quarterly Network Meetings
Quarterly Network Meetings are held with all the project participants. The goal is to create a safe and positive space for exchanges and discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. During this activity, participants are invited to share their experiences, challenges, and the knowledge they have learned during this project with one another. The activity also focuses on networking and encourages collaboration among participants as it provides empowerment, resilience and autonomy.
