Crafting Connections: Clay Workshop Brings Creativity and Community to Noord Amsterdam

On March 6th, creativity and community spirit blended seamlessly at the Clay Workshop co-hosted by Road of Hope (ROH) and Credo Café. Thirteen participants from four different nationalities came together for an afternoon of artistic expression, shaping candle holders and other clay creations.

The workshop, part of the ‘Bridge of Hope‘ activities, was led by a dedicated volunteer, whose guidance and passion inspired everyone to explore their creativity. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Clara, our amazing volunteer for making the session both fun and meaningful.

This event is a key element of the ‘Bridge of Hope’ project by Road of Hope, designed to support newcomers facing vulnerable situations in Amsterdam Noord. The program focuses on reducing social integration barriers and combating isolation, providing safe spaces for connection, creativity, and cultural exchange.

But the fun didn’t stop there — on March 13th, the group reunited to paint their masterpieces, adding colors and personal touches to their handcrafted pieces. This second session allowed participants to bring their creations to life with their own artistic vision, making the experience even more memorable.

We warmly invite all newcomers in Noord Amsterdam to join us, not just for art but for friendship and community. If you’re looking for a place to connect, create, and share your story, we’d love to have you at our next event.
