From Memories to Art: Rootless Starts Its Second Edition in Amsterdam

Rootless is a collaborative creative project led by Ukrainian visual artist Alina Bielun, dedicated to exploring identity, memory, and belonging through art.

Now in its second edition, Rootless has closed its Open Call, bringing together five Ukrainian participants for a new cycle of artistic collaboration.

Through a series of meetings and workshops, the group will share personal memories, create drawings, and conduct collective research that will culminate in the creation of “Spilnyi Sad” (Shared Garden), a collective art exhibition showcasing the unique creative expression of each participant.

During the project, participants will also receive personal consultations with Alina Bielun and have the opportunity to present their work in an Amsterdam gallery.

Participation in Rootless is free of charge, with all materials provided. No previous artistic experience was required, just curiosity, openness, and the desire to share stories through creativity. We are looking forward to see the results!
