Road of Hope Offers Business Orientation for Newcomers in Partnership with Ykeallo

Road of Hope is offering business orientation sessions to any social organization working in New West Amsterdam with newcomers who wish to provide their members with guidance on entrepreneurship in the Netherlands. The orientations are led by professionals and volunteers who are part of Road of Hope’s project Ondernemerschap, which aims to support and empower newcomers interested in starting their own businesses.

On 25 of October, a total of 12 participants from Eritrea took part in the second meeting of the “Groep Begeleiding Ykeallo” organized by the stichting Ykeallo and led by our volunteer Willem de Wijs. The focus of the meeting was on accurate information, step-by-step guidance, and ongoing support for those interested in entrepreneurship.

The participants showed great enthusiasm and were asking many questions about the possibilities and legal frameworks for starting a business in the Netherlands. The meeting was coordinated by Anwar, project leader at Ykeallo, who highlighted the importance of providing practical knowledge and encouragement to newcomers.

New sessions will continue to take place every two weeks, deepening participants’ understanding of the Dutch business environment and helping them develop concrete plans for their future enterprises.

Road of Hope welcomes any social organization working in New West with newcomers to get in touch if they wish to organize similar orientations for their groups. Contact us at ondernemerschap@roadofhope.org
